Why CrossBar Social Exists
For much of my adult life, I lived outside of faith. I struggled with alcoholism and binge drinking for decades, constantly trying to fill a void I didn’t yet understand. I searched everywhere for answers — recovery programs, meditation, prescriptions, and different spiritual practices. Nothing healed what was broken.
Over time, I lost friendships, my engagement, and nearly my life.
It wasn’t until I encountered Jesus that everything changed.
In a single moment, the void I had spent years trying to fill was finally filled. Since that day, I have been sober, my life has been transformed, and my identity has been made new. God allowed me to reach the end of myself so I could finally find Him.
After becoming a believer, something unexpected happened. I no longer wanted to spend my nights in bars or nightlife environments centered around alcohol and emptiness. But I quickly realized there was nowhere to go.
Outside of church, there were no Christ-centered social spaces. No place to gather on a Friday night. No welcoming environment to connect with other believers. No alternative to modern nightlife.
In a Tampa Bay region of over 3.2 million people, there are virtually no faith-based, late-night social venues.
CrossBar Social was born from that gap.
It exists to create a Christ-centered third space — a place where people can gather, connect, and belong in an environment shaped by faith, community, and purpose. A space for believers, seekers, and the spiritually curious. A place where the presence of God is felt, relationships are built, and life is shared beyond Sundays.
Our Mission
CrossBar Social exists to create a Christ-centered space where faith in Jesus Christ and community intersect — a welcoming place to gather, connect, and be refreshed through coffee, conversation, and purpose. We exist to glorify Jesus, cultivate authentic community, and provide a life-giving alternative to modern nightlife that invites both believers and seekers into meaningful connection.

Spaces that inspire faith beyond Sundays and beyond church walls, cultivating Christ-centered community across cities, neighborhoods, and generations.

The physical environment is designed for connection: community tables, curated seating, live-stage programming, and prayer and reflection spaces that foster both conversation and belonging.
